Poverty Trap Meeting

Posted by Paul Lang, Thursday, 26th March 2015 @ 1:09pm

  • Many thanks to all those who attended last night's discussion forum on 'The Poverty Trap', especially new members. Thanks also to two excellent speakers, Ellen Mitchell from the South Ayrshire Foodbank in Prestwick and Dave Moxham, Depute General Secretary of the STUC. Dave was running a bit late and didn't manage to cycle down from Glasgow as he originally planned, but the intention was good. Next time, Dave!

Members are encouraged to donate to the foodbank while continuing to work for their eradication through a growing economy, fairer wages and better employment conditions for workers.

You can learn more on the South Ayrshire Foodbank web site or by watching this short Trussell Trust video.
